GENERAL INFO

In order to complete the booking, and according to the company policy, it is necessary for you to provide full details of all participants (Full Name, Date and Place of Birth) as they are shown on your Passport(s)/ID(s) (depending on the cruise type you have selected). It is also necessary to provide an Emergency Contact (friend or relative) and full contact details (Full name and mobile number) of this person.

Guests are responsible for ensuring they fulfil all passport and visa requirements for all countries visited during the cruise and when travelling to and from the port of embarkation/disembarkation.
EU citizens need a full passport which must be valid for a minimum of six months beyond their return.
A passport is also required for all European sailings (exception: citizens of Schengen States cruising on itineraries that do not leave EU territory).
During most cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line personnel will need to retain your passport. You therefore have to carry a second government-issued photo ID with you at all times. It is the sole responsibility of the guest to provide all necessary documentation.
Guests are not entitled to a refund if entry into any foreign territory or boarding is denied due to lack of proper documents.
If you would like to go ashore in Russia (St. Petersburg) independently, i.e. not as part of an organized Shore Excursion by Norwegian Cruise Line, you need to obtain a valid tourist visa prior to your cruise.

Our measures against COVID-19

The safety and well-being of guests and team members are Norwegian Cruise Line's number one priority. The company has a Chief Medical Officer on staff as well as dozens of medical professionals throughout its fleet, and it continues to consult with The World Health Organisation (WHO) and the U.S. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to make the best decisions possible and take appropriate action as needed.

Norwegian Cruise Line is very proud of the protocols and preventative measures it has in place to address concerns regarding COVID-19. In addition to extensive cleaning and disinfection protocols on board all voyages and health screenings of passengers and crew members, the Company has been denying boarding to guests who have travelled from, visited or transited via high-risk areas; and it has modified several sailings to avoid areas of concern.

At the current time, our plans are to avoid any area that is denoted as a 'Level 4 - do not travel' area by the State Department at the time of voyage. We will modify any itinerary visiting those areas approximately 30 days prior to arrival date to avoid last-minute changes. As always, we will continue to monitor all State Department advisories and take appropriate action as necessary.

THE CRUISE

DAY ARRIVAL DEPARTURE
Piraeus/Athens, Greece - 17:00

Piraeus port is the gateway to Athens center. Don't miss the Parthenon, the temple to Athena which looms over Athens from its perch atop the Acropolis, an eternal icon of art and civilization. Completed in 438 B.C., the temple still astounds as the flowering of Greek art and architecture. When you come down off the hill, don't miss a visit to the Ancient Agora, Syntagma Square, the Acropolis Museum and the city's historic centre, around Plaka. Ideally, sit and relax at a cafe on the foot of the hill, sample some Greek souvlaki or a frappe, take a glance back up the hill from time to time and give the goddess her due.

Thessaloniki, Greece 09:00 16:00

Thessaloniki is the second major economic, industrial, commercial and political centre in Greece, after Athens. It hosts numerous notable Byzantine monuments and historical sites, churches, museums and theatres. The center is characterized by arcades, laneways and distinct architectural styles such as Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Walking through Thessaloniki is truly a journey back in time. The historic center is divided into several districts: Ladadika (with many entertainment venues and tavernas), Kapani (with the city's central city market), Diagonios, Navarinou, Rotonta, Agia Sofia and Ippodromio (white tower), which are all located around Thessaloniki's most central point, Aristotelous Square. Ano Poli is the highest point in Thessaloniki and as such, is the location of the city's acropolis, its Byzantine fort, the Heptapyrgion, a large portion of the city's remaining walls, and with many of its additional Ottoman and Byzantine structures still standing. Don't miss this wonderful area, which offers a great view to the city.

Izmir, Turkey 07:00 16:00

Izmir, rightfully called "the pearl of the West", is Turkey's third largest city and one of the most important port cities, lying at the tip of a long and narrow gulf. Also known as Old Izmir, Smyrna was established around 3000 BC and flourished into a great center of civilization over time, til 1922 when it was completely destoyed by a fire. Check out the clock tower at Konak Square, Izmir's landmark today, the historical Kemeralti neighborhood, the ancient Agora, built in the 4th century BC, Hisar Mosque and Alsancak District with its many museums and end you tour with a nice walk along the waterfront. For a truly astonishing view, take a horse drawn carriage for a ride along Izmir’s broad, palm-lined promenade or ascend the 19th-century elevator at Halil Rifat Pasa district, 51 meters above the city, at Asansor district.

Istanbul, Turkey 10:00 -

A cruise to Istanbul (nee Constantinople nee Byzantium) takes you to the world's only two-continent metropolis, steeped with nearly 10 millennia of history. We will cross Galata Bridge to the old city, go past the Süleymaniye Mosque, whose 174-foot dome was once the highest in the Ottoman Empire, pass from the ancient city walls, built by Constantine, and beneath the epic Roman aqueduct. Don't miss the visit to the Blue Mosque, Süleymaniye Mosque, Agia Sophia, the Ecumenical Patriarchate and enjoy the views to Bosphorus and Galata Tower. The aromas and scents of curry, saffron, and myrrh fill the air. A unique city of unparalleled beauty that will enchant you.

Mykonos, Greece 11:00 20:00

Welcome to Greece's most famous cosmopolitan island, a whitewashed paradise in the heart of the Cyclades. Whether you are an entertainment junkie out for a real good time or a visitor who wishes to explore the island’s history and tradition, Mykonos will certainly meet your expectations, as one of the most quaint destinations of this cruise. Ramble along narrow streets past white-washed houses and blue-domed churches, bougainvillea-covered walls and thread-like, step-laden footpaths leading everywhere. Set out on a journey to discover a fascinating world where glamour meets simplicity.

Paros, Greece 08:00 18:00

Paros is located in the center of the Cyclades and its port, Parikia is one of the busiest ports. Behind the port we find the Church of Panagia Ekatontaryliani, considered as one of the most important Christian monuments and the Byzantine Museum. At short distance from the port of Paroikia lies Naoussa, one of the most picturesque harbor in the Aegean.

Rhodes, Greece 09:00 20:00

Rhodes is an enchanting island that shines green and white, surrounded by the blue waters of the eastern Aegean. It is strewn with small towns and was merely one of the most glorious cities of antiquity, the world- renowned Island of the Knights. The Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, stood more than 100 feet high at the edge of the harbor, before an earthquake toppled it in 226 B.C. Of the statue, nothing remains, but Rhodes Old Town, a World Heritage Site, remains one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe and a place of pilgrimage for cruise travelers. Stroll along the medieval streets and the wonderful fortifications, walk along the Street of the Knights and visit the Palace of the Knights.

Heraklion/Crete, Greece 08:00 18:00

Ηere in the island’s capital and largest city, you can wander among the squares and fountains or gaze out over the azure blue waters of the Cretan Sea, as you enjoy fresh seafood in a local taverna on the promenade. Don't miss the Palace of Knossos, the largest of the preserved Minoan palatial centres, situated not more than 5 kms from Heraklion. It is the most visited archaeological site in Crete. The palace was the seat of the legendary King Minos and has been associated with famous Greek myths, like that of Daedalus and Icarus, the Labyrinth and the Minotaur. The incredible complex houses a warren of rooms decorated with columns and frescoes

Santorini, Greece 08:00 21:30

Santorini is essentially what remains of an enormous volcanic explosion dated back 3,600 years (between 1627- 1600 BC) and which created the current geological caldera: a giant central lagoon, more or less rectangular, measuring about 12 by 7 km. The effect is still explosive: 300-m-high steep cliffs on three sides rise from sea level, cubic white houses surrounded by pink bougainvilleas glow in the Aegean sun. The wild beauty, the fascinating Caldera, the gold sunset, of the Number 1 destination in Greece will steal your heart away!
